Sailor | Wild at Heart
Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone actually wear one of those.
This is a snakeskin jacket! And for me it’s a symbol of my individuality, and my belief… in personal freedom.
Flat Duo Jets play Love Me, popularised by Elvis Presley in 1956, which you may have heard coming out of Sailor’s mouth in David Lynch’s Wild At Heart (1990), from their self-titled album Flat Duo Jets (1990), recorded live to two-track in someone’s garage.
Treat me like a fool,
Treat me mean and cruel,
But love me.
Break my faithful heart,
Tear it all apart,
But love me.
If you ever go,
Darling, I’ll be oh so lonely
I’ll be sad and blue,
Crying over you, dear only.
I would beg and steal
Just to feel your heart
Beatin’ close to mine
Well, if you ever go,
Darling, I’ll be oh so lonely
I’ll be sad and blue,
Crying over you, dear only.
I would beg and steal
Just to feel your heart
Beatin’ close to mine
Well, if you ever go,
Darling, I’ll be oh so lonely
Beggin’ on my knees,
All I ask is please, please love me
Oh yeah
Go Dex!
Powermad, a speed metal band from Minneapolis, play Slaughterhouse, a song that got featured in David Lynch’s Wild At Heart (1990).
At first I wasn’t too impressed, though the intro is indeed pretty powerful, which is probably why it appears recurrently in the film. Then the song’s body kicks in and it’s got such a drive you can’t help but move your feet, you know, the way they do in this really cool scene.
I haven’t posted any metal in a while…
This scene is from David Lynch’s Wild At Heart (1990).
After they go around dancing to Powermad, just beautiful!
Music by Angelo Badalamenti.
