An anatomy teacher at the fine arts faculty, a doctor herself, came to explain some of the leading proportional relationships in the human body, and their development from embryonic stage to adulthood. I didn’t retain much and for the most part it was useless for our curriculum, but it’s good to know we are all born with strangely disproportionate heads, that is to say, the brain is already considerably big at birth, and it is of all parts in our body that which grows fastest towards its final dimensions.
