The intro to Woody Allen’s Manhattan (1979) (here for Wikipedia), set to George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
This is one of the coolest opening scenes I’ve seen in a while.
Compare it to Sydney Lumet’s Dog Day Afternoon’s (1975).
Such a totally different tone, but the same spirit.
I still feel bad for the trip getting cancelled, I have to go there someday.
